Corporate social responsibility a name under which companies work towards the society, the idea behind the CSR is to return back to society which has given a lot of supports and resources which by using it we are living and growing, companies tries to achieves a balance of economic, environmental and social imperatives while at the same time addressing the expectations of shareholders and stakeholders.
CSR Rules, which came into effect on 1 April 2014, state that companies with a net worth of Rs 500 crore or revenue of Rs1,000 crore or net profit of Rs 5 crore should spend 2% of their average profit in the last three years on social development-related activities such as sanitation, education, healthcare and poverty alleviation, among others, which are listed in Schedule VII of the Rules. Some Companies which are following under this are seriously doing their job very good like TATA and many more. Works like constructing infrastructures, programmes for women’s and children’s healthcare, reliefs during natural calamities, educations and But what about the companies which does not come under the criteria, although those companies are also using the resources may be lesser than the big companies but we know that we do these such activities for the sake of name.
Why we are not doing any CSR for our self as we also use consumes the resources every day, just think about the scenario where every individual do ISR of their own part, if everyone will feel the responsibility to contribute towards their part for the environment then it won’t take much time to change the scenario.
ISR could be done by any form, its not compulsory to do with monetary, like teaching poor kid or of any age at least one day a week those who can’t go to school, clean the society, reduce carbon footprints, reduce using paper plant tree in and around their home, a small plant in your balcony will contribute towards a healthy and clean environment.
Indycult promotes ISR more than CSR, where we all will contribute towards the environment in a greener way. At Indycult we use old newspaper and make products with that and try to channelize the paper recycling and use the paper use in a more efficient way. for more please visit our website www.indycult.com
