His birthday we celebrate as Christmas every year and crucifixion is honored on Good Friday, and his resurrection is celebrated on Easter.

Leadership Principles of Jesus

Jesus Christ was the greatest of all leaders known to man. The biblical truths of his teachings pattern and his way of leadership inspired many leaders even today..

Characteristics of Jesus as a leader:

Jesus was not self-promoting.

If you bend in front of someone does not mean that you are weak, in fact, jesus placed himself under the care of John the Baptist for baptism, first john deter him but Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness this shows what true servanthood is all about.

Jesus was obedient to the Holy Spirit.

Instead of devil try to mold jesus on different parameters, jesus followed his way and always believed in God.

Jesus cast a vision, with clarity, simplicity, and directness.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

This above sentence given by jesus shows his ability to be simple, clear and direct.  This behavior was shown in his preaching and teaching also.

Jesus was a strategic team builder.

When Jesus called the first four disciples, who were fishermen mark this all were a fisherman to follow him he said, “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” When Jesus began the process of calling his disciples to follow him, he began with men who had something in common and here the common things were all were a fisherman who shares common traits and values. The benefits was, they do not have to explain themselves to one another, neither did they have to learn each other’s backgrounds. So jest is if the followers follow the same core values then they understand each other very well. This action enables the establishment of stability before diversity and conflict come along

Jesus was a relationship builder.

Making Matthew and simon to together clearly shows the ability of jesus to make a relationship, even though they were coming from different backgrounds.

Jesus expressed control and authority as a leader when needed.

At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus met a man possessed by demons.

“Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,  “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” When the demon made this statement, Jesus said sternly, “Be quiet and come out of him!”

Jesus engaged crisis head-on.

There are Gospel shows that jesus was capable to taking a decision in hard times when fear holds the person, e.g once peter mother was suffering from great fever, after knowing this jesus went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

the approach of Christ to deal with this situation was an expression of engaging the crisis head-on.
There will often be times when a strong leader will have to take on what others fear.

Jesus practiced daily prayer.

Jesus prayed every day, all the time, prayer gives a man the strength, ability and courage to know oneself in a better way.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Jesus was all about empowering others.

As a leader, if you are empowering others then you are not only making your work shorter but at the same time making people stronger and responsable.

Jesus’ entire ministry focused on the empowerment of others.  A perfect example of this was in was in his healing of a man with leprosy.

These nine characteristics of Jesus were a definite sign of what he thought was important in leadership.  These same points can enable any leader to achieve strong team development. The example of Christ is a powerful lesson for anyone desiring to be a healthy leader.
